How Can We Help?

How to fix blurry, pixelated, or slow-loading photos

Some of your photos may be formatted in a way that cause it to display incorrectly.

Worry not! Follow the directions below to fix these photos individually or in batches using freely available utilities.

Step 1: Download FastStone Photo Resizer

Download and install the free FastStone Photo Resizer utility from https://www.faststone.org/FSResizerDetail.htm

Step 2: Gather up your photos

Whether you have one or many photos to fix, place them into a folder on your computer. Keep a backup copy of your original photos for safekeeping.

Step 3: Insert a blank SD card or USB drive into your computer

Find a blank SD card or USB drive to hold the fixed photos. If you want to reuse an old SD card or USB drive, copy your photos and files off of the drive before deleting its contents.

Step 4: Run FastStone Photo Resizer

Run the FastStone Resizer and do the following:

  1. Browse to the folder where you have copied the photos that need to be fixed.
  2. Click the “Add All” button.
  3. Set the output folder to the drive letter for your blank USB drive or SD card
  4. Click the “Convert” button.

Step 5: Check your photos

After FastStone has finished fixing the photos, take the SD card and USB drive and plug it into the photo frame to check that it is now showing clearly and quickly.
