How Can We Help?
NEUMI BS5P-ARC Amplifier Board Swap
In this guide, we will show the process of swapping the amplifier board for the NEUMI BS5P-ARC bookshelf speakers. This process requires a standard Philips screw driver and should only be done by someone who feels comfortable disassembling the speaker. Care must be taken during the process to protect the delicate electronics and cables inside the speaker.
Step 1: Preparation
Disconnect the BS5P-ARC speaker from all power and cable connections. Place the speaker on a work table. Find a Philips head screw driver.
Step 2: Remove screws and remove amplifier board
Using a Philips screwdriver, remove the 10 screws holding the plate amplifier to the back of the BS5P-ARC. Remove only the highlighted screws, do not remove any other screws. With the screws removed, pull out the amplifier board by grabbing the speaker wire terminal.

Step 3: Disconnect wires
Disconnect the two wires as shown in the photo below. The white ribbon cable is very delicate and should be pulled out carefully. The red/black cable has a clip on the connector that should be pressed to disengage the connector.

Step 4: Install the replacement amplifier
The steps to install the replacement amplifier is the reverse of the previous disassembly steps:
- Reconnect the white ribbon cable – be careful that the connector will only go in one way.
- Reconnect the red/black cable – be careful about the orientation of the connector.
- Reinstall the amplifier board and reinstall the screws. The screws should be snug but not overly tight.
- Reconnect power, and input connections to check that the speakers are now working normally.
